Marzipan & Almond Paste
Marzipan is traditionally made from ground almonds and sugar. Not only does a layer of marzipan on your celebration cake help to keep it moist which in turn stops your cake from going stale, but it also provides a smooth surface for your final icing covering. Marzipan fruits at Christmas have always been a winner too. They are a great and fun way to make an edible centerpiece for your table or a sweet alternative to a mince pie at Christmas tea!
